For the last 10 years or so I've been making paintings on canvas in addition to the wood pieces, though in the last few years the canvases have been taken more precedence. These paintings are oil-based enamels on gessoed canvas and acrylic stains into raw canvas. The imagery usually originates from small sketches that are scanned into my computer, manipulated, then transferred to canvas and painted. The process involves a lot of back and forth between the canvas and computer.
